Our OAS: Life on Maps

Life on Maps: Operation assistance system

MILLA Operation Assistance System combined with a radio system enables the shuttle to be tracked and enables communication in real time (geolocation, early/late arrival on the line, service to stops, etc.). This platform provides functions for passenger information and makes it possible to collect data that can be used a posteriori to develop the network (journey times, commercial speed, service to stops, etc.).

MILLA Operations Support System are a set of software and hardware tools that play a crucial role.

Operations Support System (OSS)

Life on Maps , MILLA ‘s Passenger Information and Operation Support System, is an augmented multimodal transport solution developed by MILLA’s subsidiary ISFM. Life on Maps can be used to operate all means of public, rail and road transport. The software platform integrates all operating assistance (SAE) and passenger information (IV) functions, and integrates remote operation of autonomous shuttles (TSV).

  • Planning and dispatching the routes of autonomous shuttles, creating service schedules, and managing the missions of each shuttle. It takes into account factors such as anticipated demand, traffic conditions, and maintenance requirements.
  • Shuttle fleet: monitors the real-time location and status of each autonomous shuttle. This ensures that the vehicles are operating correctly and allows for proactive maintenance planning.
  • Safety and compliance include mechanisms to ensure that the vehicles comply with regulations and report any safety issues.
  • Energy Optimization: OSS can optimize the energy consumption of autonomous shuttles by considering factors such as battery status and the most efficient routes.
  • Bus drivers monitoring
  • Human Interventions Management: Even though shuttles are autonomous, there may be a need for human intervention in case of issues. OSS coordinates these human interventions when necessary.

Passenger Information System (PIS)

  • Real-Time Information for passengers on the schedules of autonomous shuttles, their current location, and any potential delays.
  • Mobile Apps and Websites: Passengers can use mobile apps and websites to track autonomous shuttles, purchase electronic tickets, plan routes, and receive real-time alerts.
  • Onboard displays: the shuttle is equipped with display that provide information about the route, upcoming stops, and other relevant details for passengers.
  • Audio announcements: PIS includes onboard audio systems to announce upcoming stops and provide important information.
  • Accessibility to all, including individuals with disabilities.

In the context of public transport with autonomous shuttles, the accuracy of real-time information, proactive fleet management, compliance with safety standards, and passenger ease of use are critical elements for the success of this innovative mode of transportation. Both components of the platform play an essential role in addressing these specific needs.
These systems are key components of the system, specifically enhance the efficiency of the entire transportation network and offer a more convenient and interconnected experience for both MILLA and the passengers.

Much more than a manufacturer of autonomous electric shuttles, MILLA has positioned itself as a designer of the low-carbon mobility of the future , with a range of services for decarbonized, inclusive and efficient.
